We Finally Have a Logo!

By: The Duluth RunnerPosted on May 11, 2020May 11, 2020

Over a year into this website thing and duluthrunner.com finally has an official logo ๐Ÿ™‚

The featured image above is what we decided on – we were fortunate enough to work with one of the most talented artists around…Sam from Art by SJ Nielsen!! In case you aren’t able to see the full image on your computer/tablet/phone above, here it is again:

@TheDuluthRunner

We decided on the Jay Cooke swinging bridge as it is along Duluth’s Voyageur 50 mile ultra-marathon course, is an iconic area landmark, and a part of the state park that Greg and I train in weekly.

Sam was a blast to work with! She took our very rough initial vision, incorporated our feedback, spruced it up with her signature touch, and landed on something we absolutely love! She is also the newest Duluth Runner partner and will have a permanent spot on our Resources page.

We would also invite to you check out Sam’s website – she does incredible work and has something for everyone! The way she is able to capture Duluth and the surrounding area with watercolor is AMAZING!! If you don’t already own something of hers, you certainly should. Here’s what we have in our dining room at home:

Palisade Head just past Silver Bay on the North Shore – also where Nichole and I got engaged ๐Ÿ™‚

Awkward angle due to glare on the frame from straight on, so here it is on her website as well: https://www.artbysjnielsen.com/shop/palisade-head-print

The plan for now is to have our new logo sprinkled in around the website, along with being on me and Greg’s racing singlets. I think it would be fun to eventually have stickers, shirts/sweatshirts, and maybe a couple other products for sale on the website, but we’ll see if there’s any interest for it!

Have a great week everyone!
