Each year from January 1st to January 15th runners are able to enter the Superior lotteries for both Spring (12.5k/25k/50k) and Fall (26.2mi/50mi/100mi) trail races.

I have been fortunate enough to get in the 25k (2017), 50k (2018), and 50 mile (2018) races…they certainly have me coming back for more 🙂 So with those experiences in the rear-view mirror I wanted to try and get another one of John Storkamp’s amazingly directed races on my calendar and entered the 2019 lottery for the Fall 50 miler.

Well…I just found out two days ago that I got in to the race! On top of that, my training partner Greg Hexum also got in to the same race!! This should add a fun element to our training runs as we’ve never been working towards the same goal race – something I’m looking forward to experiencing together.

Congratulations to all who will also be hitting the trails for races up the shore this year. And if you happen to be in the 50 miler, I’ll see you on the start line in Finland!
