With so much change, unrest, and a general sense of uneasiness lately in both the country and world-at-large due to COVID-19, I’m hoping today’s post can bring some happiness to the Duluth community.
One of duluthrunner.com’s partners has just completed a BIG TIME project and I could not be happier to help spread the message.
LightSpeed Lift of Duluth has teamed up with the University of Oregon athletic department as part of the Hayward Field renovation project. The new Duck colored Lifts are officially out of production and ready to ship!
This is a major win for our local community and a project that is certainly filed with Duluth pride – something we can all be proud of and take ownership in!
The following is a news release from our friends at LightSpeed Lift:
“On a day that will be marked as a downer for local runners (same day as Grandma’s Marathon and corresponding weekend races were cancelled), perhaps we can send you some exciting news!
LightSpeed Lift, a Duluth made and base equipment company is sending 3 custom units to the prestigious Hayward Field. LightSpeed helps runners train smarter, faster, longer, and better by lifting a user off a treadmill. Coaches and Athletic Trainers throughout the NCAA are looking to LightSpeed Lift to train their athletes to peak performance.
It’s big news to LightSpeed and to Hayward Field to have three systems in place and in team colors. For the final result, please look at the photos attached (below).”
So let’s take a moment to celebrate this amazing milestone for a local small business and join me in saying – CONGRATULATIONS!!
